Road salt, used for winter road maintenance, ensures road safety by preventing a slippery surface which is a great danger in winter. Road salt, otherwise known as sodium chloride, is a natural non-toxic substance that does not adversely affect the natural environment. The product can be used directly on roads in a loose form as well as in the form of brine.
- Road salt according to the PN-86 / C-84081/02 standard[1]
- sodium chloride NaCl content - at least 90%
- content of substances insoluble in water - 8.0% maximum
- potassium ferrocyanide content (added to prevent salt caking) - 20 mg / kg
- This product received a positive opinion of the Research Institute of Roads and Bridges as an agent intended to combat winter slipperiness. Dissolves snow and ice on roads, sidewalks, parking lots, driveways, in front of garages and more.
Many clients, including housing cooperatives, cleaning companies, city offices and other state institutions, use mixtures with sand in the following proportions:
- Salt and sand mixture (about. 70% of sand, 30% salt)
- A salt-gravel-sand mix (about. 40% sand, 30 % grit 2-5, 30% salt)
